Mionus

Things are still moving around here. A few notes:

1. Donations are now accepted. - This is pretty important. All Information is processed through PayPal and I do not see, touch, smell, hear, or taste any of your personal/banking information. Donations really help so please donate if you can!

2. Still looking for Djs - If you are a Dj and want to upload your music to Mionus, please do! All you have to do is select 'DJ' when you create an account. There is even a very simple 'How To' on uploading your tracks. If you are signed up as a listener by mistake just send me a private message and I can fix it for you.

3. Always looking for new stuff. - If you have something you love and think it should be shared on here, share it with me via private message.

4. All track titles are not complete! - You really can lend a hand here. If you know the titles to ANY tracks with incomplete titles or know of any inaccurate titles please send me a private message and let me know.

If you have anything you want to share feel free to post a link to it in the downloads section in the forums. We have to basic breaks up but growth is always a good thing, right?

On an semi-related note; anyone notice the rhyming title of this post?

On this site, whenever a song is uploaded the information is pulled from the ID3 tags and that is what creates the artist name, album, etc. The problem is that a lot of other sites and other people don't keep these tags clean or fill them with spam. So instead of SONG TITLE by ARTIST you get ____ by ZOMG WEBSITE. Frankly I don't believe in this type of self promotion. This means when you transfer your kickin new tunes to your iPod (or other music player) the name and album don't show up correctly.

Here is where you come in! If you notice any missing information or information that is not correct please send me a private message and let me know ASAP so I can fix it. Moreover, some of the albums are just completely missing song titles. The track names appear as 'Track 1, Track 2, ....' If you happen to know the names of the tracks, PLEASE send me a private message so they can be fixed.

Recent changes:
Now anyone can listen to the music but only registered users can download it.
Highest ranked users (most invites) will be displayed under the search box.

A few more things have changed. When registering you can select if you are just a listener or a DJ. DJs can upload their songs for everyone to listen to and keep fans updated on blogs. Everything is still in the early stages so more change is coming.

Okay, if you are wondering why your account isn't working it's because things got changed around a bit more and there were some database issues. All accounts got lost, SORRY!!! However, there was a trade off. Music can now be streamed directly from the site. I'm working on creating a section where the entire albums can be downloaded and a way for users to create playlists. This might take a while so please work with me a little.
